Bus route improvements planned in our area

As part of huge new transport developments in Leeds, Leeds City Council aim to double bus usage in the City over the next decade, to improve journey times and to help clean the air.

We know from talking to residents that bus reliability and speed in our area is one of the key concerns so we’re glad that our area is quite rightly one of those chosen for improvements – along the Leeds-Bradford corridor through Dawson’s Corner, and into Leeds via Bramley and Armley.

These measures are alongside road improvements to ease congestion along these routes, and improvements to New Pudsey station.

First have also agreed to replace many services with new ultra-low emission buses.
