A little free library for Farsley
Thanks to funds raised by Calverley and Farsley Labour Party and organised by local members, Farsley welcomes its first Little Free Library.
Working with Leeds Little Free Library, who have so far designed and installed five boxes across Leeds, the concept is simple: either take a book, or leave a book. There’s no need to return it, and there’s no pressure to leave one, just do as you please!
Obviously we have excellent libraries in both Calverley and Farsley, but the new box aims to increase the reach of books, especially amongst younger readers. We’re therefore really happy that the library is packed full of books, and is already a well-used feature in the community – but to make sure it’s relevant for everyone we do need more books for teens if anyone can help?
We’ve also just identified a second spot in Westdale Drive in Pudsey, so we hope to get permission to start fundraising for another one soon!
If you’d like to visit, the Farsley Little Free Library is on Newlands, between Parkside Road and the Football Club.‹ back
