Wood Nook: Tree preservation confirmed near Owlcotes Centre
Good news for the remaining trees on the development site at Wood Nook near Asda/New Pudsey.
The land is currently allocated for development, however in our planning policy any planning application that came forward would be assessed against tree removal on site, and would require developers to minimise and mitigate for any loss with replacement of 3 trees for each one lost.
It is now up to the council to ensure they calculate this taking account of the level of trees that were on site before felling began last year, to make sure all trees originally on that site are replaced.
