Our Local Representatives

At the local elections in 2018, we successfully elected a Labour Councillor to represent Calverley and Farsley, Peter Carlill. Due to his work on behalf of local residents, Peter was subsequently re-elected in 2019 and 2023. He continues to deliver a programme of big ideas in our area such as enhancing parks and green spaces, improving buses and public services, introducing youth clubs – improving lives for everyone. You can contact Peter about any local concerns using the details on the right, or find out more about what he has been up to and a list of surgery dates around the ward on his Facebook page.

In the local elections in 2024, our candidate Craig Timmins was elected to join Peter as our councillor. As a local resident and community campaigner, Craig is keen to focus his work on supporting local businesses and services and making the best of our local area – making it a great place to grow up in, work in and have a family in.

Branch Meetings and Activities

We normally meet on the first Monday of the month. All members are more than welcome to join us, and we always have an interesting discussion focussing on topical local or national issues.

We run campaigning sessions weekly where possible, knocking on doors in all corners of the ward, and run regular street stalls.

We also run regular members’ socials – for more details members can request to join our private Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/CAFLabour/.

If you’d like to know more about any of our activities, please get in touch.
